Artist member since 2020

My work investigates intersections of form and habit, revealing patterns latent in everyday journeys. With digital techniques akin to slit-scan imaging, I document pathways and their traversal by both human and non-human subjects. Long-proportion surfaces such as these offer a telling glimpse into the full arc of meandering feet and the traces they leave. Spun algorithmically from panorama into spiral, each sauntering segment accentuates an evolution of form, deepening a sense of here-and-thereness. To manifest a more social understanding of temporal overlaps and asynchronous crossings, I share my algorithms and code tools openly, and engage in critical co-creation.
